Rihanna is called Queen Riri for a reason! Rihanna’s song ‘Lift Me Up’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ was nominated in the Best Original Song category at Golden Globes 2023. While Rihanna did not win any award at the ceremony, the singer definitely won many hearts with her sweet gesture towards the ‘RRR’ team, which scripted history with their first Golden Globe award for ‘Naatu Naatu’. For the unversed, ‘Naatu Naatu’ was nominated in the same category as Rihanna’s ‘Lift Me Up’.

Rihanna trended heavily on Twitter for her sweet gesture of congratulating ‘RRR’ team, her competitors in the Best Original Song category at Golden Globes 2023. And well, like everyone else, we are in absolute awe of Queen Riri too!

Viral Bhayani also posted a close-up video of Rihanna giving a flying kiss to ‘RRR’ team.

Take a look at the sweet moment:

‘Naatu Naatu’ composer MM Keeravaani had accepted the award on stage, presented by ‘Wednesday’ star Jenna Ortega.

'Naatu Naatu', a dance number featuring stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan, was competing against Taylor Swift’s 'Carolina' from 'Where the Crawdads Sing', 'Ciao Papa' from 'Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio', Lady Gaga’s 'Hold My Hand' from 'Top Gun: Maverick', and 'Lift Me Up' from 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever', performed by Rihanna.

India previously scripted history in the Best Original Score category over a decade ago, when AR Rahman won for Danny Boyle’s 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

‘RRR’ was also nominated in the ‘Best Non-English Language Film’ category. However, this was won by ‘Argentina, 1985’.

The Golden Globes 2023, hosted by Jerrod Charmichael, was held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
