Henry Cavill Announces His Return As ‘Superman’, Says Your Patience Will Be “Rewarded"
Henry Cavill has confirmed his return as the 'Superman' following a cameo in DC Comics' recently-released ‘Black Adam’ starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Fans were eagerly waiting for his return! And Henry Cavill made the biggest announcement possible, stating that he would don the role of 'Superman' once again. The British actor will reprise the role of Clark Kent, also known as Superman in the DC Comics cinematic universe. This development comes after Cavill donned the red and blue suit for a mid-credits scene in the recently-released Black Adam starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
This was Cavill's first appearance as the 'Superman' since last year's updated Zack Snyder's ‘Justice League’. The actor made the announcement on Instagram, sharing his trademark shot as Superman before appearing in a selfie video addressing the fans.
In the video, Cavill started off by saying that he wanted to wait till enough fans saw his cameo in the ‘Black Adam’ movie.
"But now plenty of you have seen the movie. I wanted to make it official. I'm back as Superman,” he added.
"A very small taste of what's to come, my friends. The dawn of hope renewed. Thank you for your patience, it will be rewarded," Cavill wrote alongside the selfie video post.
It is important to mention that Cavill's brief appearance in the Hollywood movie 'Black Adam' has been widely appreciated by fans and it promises a future standoff between 'Superman' and 'Black Adam' character portrayed by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Cavill's last stand-alone 'Superman' movie was the 2013 smash-hit 'Man Of Steel'. 'Black Adam' is the currently ruling the box office in the US and despite average reviews, the flick is continuing to attract viewers worldwide.
