‘Stranger Things’ breakout star Noah Schnapp recently revealed that he identifies as gay, in a TikTok video that he shared on Thursday. While sharing the news with the world, he also revealed how unfazed his family and friends were when they learned about his sexuality. Noah Schnapp plays the role of Will Byers in the insanely popular Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’. For the unversed, this comes after the most recent season of ‘Stranger Things’ implied that Will Byers is also gay.
In the TikTok clip, the 18-year-old actor lip-synced to an audio clip which said, "You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, will never be that serious."
Sharing the video, Schnapp wrote over it, "When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was 'we know'.”
"I guess I'm more similar to Will than I thought," he captioned the TikTok clip, referring to his ‘Stranger Things’ character Will Byers.

Over the Netflix show’s four seasons, fans have repeatedly questioned whether Will Byers was gay, with some even criticising the makers for not explicitly stating the seemingly obvious fact.
In July 2022, Noah Schnapp addressed Will Byers’ sexual orientation, confirming to Variety that the teenager has romantic feelings towards best friend Mike played by Finn Wolfhard.
Talking about ‘Stranger Things’ season 5, Netflix announced that the upcoming season will be the last one. But there is no confirmation yet on when the production will begin on the season.
