'Avengers: Endgame' director Joe Russo has said that he wants to promote Indian cinema globally.

If just like us, you are also a movie buff, then you would be aware of how big Joe Russo and Anthony Russo truly are. The brothers are responsible for creating big films like 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', 'Avengers: Endgame', 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'The Gray Man'. The Russo Brothers are also the creators of upcoming Amazon Prime Video show 'Citadel' starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden.

Joe Russo was recently present at the Sands International Film Festival in Scotland and it was there that he spoke about promoting other movie industries globally, including Bollywood.

"Certainly a more diverse version and one that’s more international. Bollywood, for instance, is one of the more significant film businesses in the world but it has extremely minimal exposure outside of India. Thank God for movies like RRR, using a level of technical genius, visual effects, and mythological storytelling to appeal to a much wider audience. We learn about other cultures from movies like that," Joe Russo was quoted as saying by Deadline.

"So, I guess, our goal would be empowerment. We want to support other markets as much as possible so their stories can get through in a broader way," he added.

Prime Video's 'Citadel' is also going to be adapted for Italian and Indian audiences.

The Indian version of 'Citadel' is being helmed by Raj and DK, and the series will star Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles.

The original 'Citadel' starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 28.

Joe Russo and Anthony Russo are no strangers to working with Indian cast, as they have worked with Randeep Hooda and Pankaj Tripathi in 'Extraction', and Dhanush in 'The Gray Man'.
