'Wonder Woman 3’ and ‘Man Of Steel 2’ could get cancelled in a major DC shakeup.

DC Studios could be heading for a drastic reset! Remember back in August 2022 when it was announced that ‘Batgirl’ was being cancelled despite having already been shot? Well, within a few months, more DC titles could possibly be scrapped. In a piece of shocking news for DC fans, Warner Bros is looking to cancel major DC projects like Gal Gadot’s ‘Wonder Woman 3’, ‘Man of Steel 2’ starring Henry Cavill, and Jason Momoa-starrer ‘Aquaman’ series.

According to Variety, a sequel to the 2020 movie ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ from director Patty Jenkins is not moving forward, as new DC Studios chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran are gearing up to unveil their strategy next week for the future of DC adaptations to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav.

This development comes after ‘Wonder Woman’ star Gal Gadot shared on social media that she was “so grateful for the opportunity to play such an incredible, iconic character” and that she “can’t wait to share her next chapter with you.”

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Safran and James Gunn let Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot know last week that the film isn’t going to be a part of the upcoming slate. This came after Jenkins submitted a story outline for the third movie.

‘Man of Steel’ actor Henry Cavill also teased that he was set to reprise his role as Superman after his cameo in the post credits scene of ‘Black Adam’.

However, now Cavill’s future with DC remains unclear with Hollywood Reporter suggesting that the new DC Studios plan could kill any potential ‘Man Of Steel’ sequel.

The studio is also planning to end the ‘Aquaman’ series after next year’s second film. Jason Momoa will likely be recast as the character Lobo going forward, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
