Patty Jenkins has finally broken her silence on the 'Wonder Woman 3' row.

Days after news surfaced that DC is looking to cancel major projects like 'Wonder Woman 3', and 'Man Of Steel 2', director Patty Jenkins has finally spoken out regarding the news of her parting ways with Warner Bros on a sequel to 2020's 'Wonder Woman' 1984. Posting a lengthy statement on Twitter, the filmmaker said that she never walked away and she was open to considering anything that was being asked of her.

“I never walked away. I was open to considering anything asked of me. It was my understanding there was nothing I could do to move anything forward at this time. DC is obviously buried in changes they are having to make, so I understand these decisions are difficult right now," Jenkins wrote in her statement on Twitter.

"I’m not one to talk about private career matters, but I will not allow inaccuracies to continue," she stated further.

Over the past few weeks, there have been reports that Jenkins rebuffed the efforts to reshape 'Wonder Woman' to fit into the plans for DC Studios by newly appointed chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran.

On Jenkis' statement released on Wednesday, James Gunn also showed his support, by tweeting: "I can attest that all of Peter and my interactions with you were only pleasant and professional.”

According to Variety, a sequel to the 2020 movie ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ from director Patty Jenkins was not moving forward, as new DC Studios chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran were gearing up to unveil their strategy for the future of DC adaptations to Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav.

This development came after ‘Wonder Woman’ star Gal Gadot shared on social media that she was “so grateful for the opportunity to play such an incredible, iconic character” and that she “can’t wait to share her next chapter with you.”

The studio is also planning to end the ‘Aquaman’ series after next year’s second film. Jason Momoa will likely be recast as the character Lobo going forward, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
