Wonka trailer out now!
'Wonka' Trailer: Timothee Chalamet will be playing the role of Willy Wonka in a prequel film.

Timothee Chalamet is taking up a real challenge as he will be stepping into the shoes of Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp to play the loved character of Willy Wonka in a new prequel film that will show how Roald Dahl’s fictional character came to really love chocolates. The latest Hollywood movie trailer for 'Wonka' has been unveiled, and it shows the 'Dune' actor playing a younger version of the famed candy maker.

In the latest Hollywood movie trailer, it is shown how Timothee Chalamet's character discovers cocoa beans. He then befriends a young orphan girl, and dreams about having his own chocolate store.

However, the true highlight of the ‘Wonka’ trailer was Hugh Grant as an Oompa Loompa.

For the unversed, 'Wonka' will be releasing in December this year, and it is set before the 1971 movie 'Willy Wonka', and the 'Chocolate Factory'.

“(Wonka) tells the wild and wonderful story of Willy Wonka… what chocolate means to him and why he’s so driven to become this extraordinary chocolate maker,” Director Paul King said at a press preview of the trailer, as reported by Reuters.

“(He) is a very interesting, beguiling character and it seemed really interesting to dive a little deeper into him and try and come up with something that perhaps Roald Dahl might have approved of if he’d ever tried to write a prequel," he added.

'Wonka' also stars Olivia Colman, Sally Hawkins, Keegan-Michael Key, Matthew Baynton, Matt Lucas, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter, Natasha Rothwell, Simon Farnaby, Paterson Joseph, Tom Davis, Rakhee Thakrar, Justin Edwards, Colin O’Brien, Ellie White, Freya Parker and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith.

The new Hollywood movie is directed by Paul King, and the script was written by him alongside Simon Farnaby.

Willy Wonka had first debuted in Dahl’s 1964 novel 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and it followed Charlie Bucket, a poor boy who ends up winning a golden ticket to tour Wonka’s famous chocolate factory.
