Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi-starrer 'Merry Christmas' will be releasing in cinemas on January 12, 2024.

The wait is over! The trailer of Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi-starrer 'Merry Christmas' was released on Wednesday evening. For the unversed, the new Hindi movie has been filmed in both Hindi and Tamil. The Hindi version additionally boasts of talents like Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, while the Tamil version has stalwarts like Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kavin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams. Radhika Apte and Ashwini Kalsekar will be making special cameos in both the versions. 

Going by the ‘Merry Christmas’ trailer, the new Hindi movie promises to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller. The major highlight of the ‘Merry Christmas’ trailer is that nothing about the plot can be made out, and one can expect the unexpected. 

The ‘Merry Christmas’ trailer starts off with the characters of Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi flirting with each other. However, a twist of fate ends up setting the plot in motion, and one does not really know the motives of the characters played by Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi.

As the ‘Merry Christmas’ trailer ends, the text on the screen reads, "Check your belongings before leaving cinema." This text appears as Vijay Sethupathi looks behind in the theatre to notice Katrina Kaif disappearing along with her daughter. 

Produced by Ramesh Taurani, Sanjay Routray, Jaya Taurani and Kewal Garg, and directed by Sriram Raghavan, ‘Merry Christmas’ is the first collaboration between Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures. 

For the unversed, ‘Merry Christmas’ was first slated to release in theatres on December 15, 2023. The makers later preponed the movie by a week, announcing the new release date as December 8.

However, then, the movie was eventually postponed to January 12, 2024.
