Akshay Kumar's 'Mission Raniganj' trailer is out now! The film which also stars Parineeti Chopra, will be telling the story of one man's quest to save the lives of helpless miners stuck in a coal mine. For the unversed, Parineeti Chopra is playing the role of Akshay Kumar's wife in 'Mission Raniganj'. The trailer opens with an accident as a mine collapses on a big group of miners who are working underground. The miners start screaming and pleading for help. It is then that Akshay Kumar decides to come up with a rescue mission. Akshay Kumar is playing the role of a Sikh engineer in the movie.

Apart from Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra, the movie also stars Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in pivotal roles.
It is slated to release in theatres on October 6, 2023. The new Hindi movie has been directed by Tinu Suresh Desai while it has been produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor.
For the uninitiated, 'Mission Raniganj' is based on a real-life incident that happened in Raniganj Coalfields, West Bengal, in 1989.
During that time, 64 miners were trapped in a flooded coal mine, and Jaswant Singh Gill ended up risking his life to rescue the miners.
