'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire' Release Trailer: Prabhas Ready To Wreak Havoc As One-Man Army
If the ‘Salaar’ trailer is anything to go by, the movie promises to be more blood-soaked than Prashanth Neel’s previous outings, 'KGF: Chapter 2' and 'KGF: Chapter 1'.
'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire' directed by Prashanth Neel, starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan, will be releasing in cinemas this Friday, December 22. Ahead of the film's release, the makers on Monday unveiled a fresh ‘Salaar’ trailer and the clip promises an engaging tale. In the freshly-released trailer, we are given a glimpse into the city of Khansaar, which is being ruled by some dreaded crime lords. We are shown how Prithviraj Sukumaran is playing the role of Varadha Raja Mannar and how his father wants him to see as the "lord" of the city.
However, there are several enemies along the way and this is when Prabhas' characters enters the fray. Going by the ‘Salaar’ trailer, Prabhas is playing the role of one-man army who can go to any length for his friend, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran.

As per industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Salaar' has already amassed Rs 4.09 crore through advance bookings, selling 1,69,316 tickets. The bulk of the tickets have been sold in the Telugu version (92,770). In the Hindi version, 'Salaar' has just sold 21,398 tickets.
For the unversed, 'Salaar' will be releasing a day after the release of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' directed by Rajkumar Hirani. For the opening day, 'Dunki' has so far sold 1,58,141 tickets for Day 1, grossing Rs 4.88 crore.
Ever since ‘Salaar’ was announced, there have also been rumours that the film is a remake of Prashanth Neel’s movie ‘Ugramm’. Producer Vijay Kiragandur recently put these rumours to rest, stating that the film was a completely original story and not a remake.
For the unversed, 'Salaar' was earlier scheduled to release in theatres on September 28, but it was postponed due to delay in post-production work.
For the unversed, ‘Salaar’ will be releasing in two parts and the first part is titled ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’. Backed by Hombale Films, ‘Salaar’ is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 400 crore and is produced by Vijay Kiragandur.
Apart from Prabhas, ‘Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire’ also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu.
Earlier, it was revealed that ‘Salaar’ has been granted an 'A' certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). It has also surfaced that ‘Salaar’ will have a runtime of 2 hours and 55 minutes.
