The wait is over as the trailer for 'Sam Bahadur' has been released! For the unversed, Vicky Kaushal will be playing the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the film. Apart from Vicky Kaushal, the new Hindi movie also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. In the new Hindi movie, Fatima will be playing the role of former India Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, while Sanya Malhotra is essaying the role of Sam Manekshaw's wife Silo.
'Sam Bahadur' has been directed by Meghna Gulzar, and this is the second time that she is working with Vicky Kaushal. The duo had earlier collaborated in 2018 for 'Raazi'.
The 'Sam Bahadur' trailer was unveiled by Chief of the Army Staff, Manoj Pande at the Maneckshaw Centre in Delhi on Tuesday.
The 'Sam Bahadur' trailer showcases how Sam Manekshaw is all about the love he has for his job, the Indian Army, and how he is ready to give everything to make his country win. The clip also shows how Sam Maneckshaw was never interested in politics.
Going by the 'Sam Bahadur' trailer, it is clear that the film will also delve into the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

For the unversed, Sam Manekshaw was the first Indian Army officer to have been promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. He is also credited for India's victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, which led to the formation of Bangladesh.
Sam Manekshaw was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the 1971 India-Pakistan war and he was then promoted to Field Marshal by Indira Gandhi after the war came to an end.
'Sam Bahadur' also stars Neeraj Kabi and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub as Jawaharlal Nehru and Yahya Khan.
The new Hindi movie will be releasing in theatres on December 1, and it will be going up against Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' at the box office.
