On Chiranjeevi’s Birthday, New Movies ‘Mega 156’ And ‘Mega 157’ Announced. Details Inside
Chiranjeevi, who turned 68 on Tuesday, will be seen in two new movies ‘Mega 156’ and ‘Mega 157’.
Veteran actor Chiranjeevi is among the most successful stars of Indian cinema, having worked in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi films. Chiranjeevi debuted as an actor in the Telugu film ‘Punadhirallu’ in 1978 and went on to deliver several hit films including ‘Vijetha’, ‘Indra’, ‘Rudraveena’ and ‘Shankar Dada MBBS’. And it is megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday today. On the special occasion, the Telugu star’s fans were in a for double treat with the announcement of two new films featuring their favourite star.
Chiranjeevi was recently seen in ‘Bholaa Shankar’, and will soon star in new films, tentatively titled ‘Mega 156’ and ‘Mega 157’.
Details of ‘Mega 156’ have been kept under wraps, but the announcement poster revealed that it will be made under the banner of Gold Box Entertainments. ‘Mega 156’ will be produced by Chiranjeevi’s daughter, Sushmita Konidela.
The production house made the announcement on Instagram, and the caption read, “A legacy of ruling the silver screen for 4 decades! A personality which evokes a plethora of emotions! A man who is celebrated on and off the screen. After 155 films, now #MEGA156 will be a MegaRocking entertainer. Happy Birthday to @chiranjeevikonidela Garu.”
As for ‘Mega 157’, Chiranjeevi will be returning to the fantasy genre with the new movie, helmed by ‘Bimbisara’ director Vassishta. The announcement poster of the film shows five elements of nature.
The film is said to be mounted on a huge budget and will be co-produced by V Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati, and Vikram Reddy, under the banner of UV Creations.
The makers released the poster on Twitter and wrote in the caption, “#Mega157. This time, its MEGA MASS BEYOND UNIVERSE. The five elements will unite for the ELEMENTAL FORCE called MEGASTAR.Happy Birthday to MEGASTAR @KChiruTweets Garu.”

Chiranjeevi has acted in over 150 films. His recent releases include ‘Waltair Veerayya’ and ‘GodFather’. The megastar was last seen in ‘Bhola Shankar’, which released on August 11.
On his birthday, several Tollywood celebrities such as Allu Arjun, Jr NTR and Pawan Kalyan, among others, wished Chiranjeevi.
