Director Prashanth Neel has dropped a massive update, confirming that 'KGF 3' will definitely happen.
Fans have been desperately asking for the third installment of the 'KGF' franchise starring Yash. In the latest entertainment news, director Prashanth Neel has dropped a massive update, confirming that 'KGF 3' will definitely happen. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the 'Salaar' director ensured fans of the franchise that the project is definitely on the cards and they hadn't announced the third part just for the sake of it.
Prashanth Neel also said that the script for the film is ready, however, the director joked that he might not return to helm the project himself.
"KGF 3 will happen," said Prashanth Neel.
“I don’t know if I am the director or not, but Yash will always be a part of it… On a serious note, KGF 3 will happen and we didn’t announce it for the sake of it,” he added.
Prashanth Neel also said that Yash is not someone who would make such claims for commercial gains. He also confirmed that the script for the third part was locked even before the announcement.
For the unversed, 'KFG 2' had ended with the Indian Navy bombing the Rocky’s (Yash) ship, along with all the gold he had collected. He was then seen drowning in the ocean.
On the work front, Prashanth Neel is currently gearing up for the release of Prabhas’ 'Salaar'. The new pan-India film which is speculated to be part of the KGF universe, will be releasing in theatres on December 22.
Amidst the ongoing rumours, Prashanth Neel has continuously said that 'Salaar' is a standalone film.
Prashanth Neel will next be teaming up with 'RRR' star Jr NTR.
“That’s my next after Salaar, and we start shooting in the second half of 2024,” said the director.
Talking about 'Salaar', the film will be releasing in theatres a day after Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki', which has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
