Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is currently winning a lot of praise for his performance in the recently-released 'Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life'. Director Blessy's survival drama is being praised left, right and centre, and the film is also going from strength-to-strength at the box office. In the latest entertainment news, it has emerged that Prithviraj Sukumaran underwent a remarkable physical transformation for the film, shedding an impressive 31 kgs.

Cinematographer Sunil KS has shared the insights into the intensity of Prithviraj's commitment to the role, and he particularly highlighted a challenging nude scene in the film.

“For the naked scene, Prithviraj was fasting for three days, not even water on the last day; before the shoot, he took 30ML vodka to drain the remaining water from the body. He was carried in a chair to the location. We needed to lift him from the chair before the shot," the cinematographer said in an interview with The Cue Studio.

His quote was translated by Christopher Kanagaraj, who shared it on X.

Earlier, while speaking to Hindustan Times, Prithviraj Sukumaran about his transformation said, "The idea was that I looked like somebody who does not have access to enough food, and was starving most of the time. The only way I could do that is to actually adopt that process, which means that my transformation was almost entirely based on fasting. At times, I used to fast for up to 72 hours. I would drink water and black coffee, but nothing else.”

For the unversed, the new Malayalam film narrates the tale of a young labourer from Kerala who finds himself enslaved in the Middle East. While being subjected to harsh conditions, he is forced to work as a shepherd in the desert.

Prithviraj Sukumaran's new Malayalam film 'Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life', which released in cinemas on March 28, has made more than Rs 75 crore worldwide, and it is on its way to cross the Rs 100 crore mark by the end of this week.
