"Zendaya Ke Look...": Internet Feels 'Kalki 2898 AD' Poster Has Uncanny Resemblance To 'Dune'
Netizens are comparing the new poster of 'Kalki 2898 AD' with 'Dune' and several fans also believe that Deepika Padukone's look is quite similar to Zendaya’s from 'Dune'.
'Kalki 2898 AD', starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, is one of the most-anticipated Indian movies of 2024. The pan-India film was earlier slated to be released in cinemas on May 9, 2024, but the makers recently announced that the film has been postponed, and it will be now released in cinemas on June 27. The makers unveiled a new poster as well, featuring Deepika, Prabhas and Big B. However, netizens are now comparing the new poster of 'Kalki 2898 AD' with 'Dune' and several fans also believe that Deepika's look is same as Zendaya from 'Dune'.
In the poster, Deepika Padukone can be seen in untied short hair, in a brown outfit. Fans believe that this look has an uncanny resemblance to the look of Zendaya from Dune.
For the unversed, Zendaya plays Chani in the Dennis Villeneuve's 'Dune' series.

Talking about 'Kalki 2898 AD' poster, the image sees Deepika, Prabhas and Amitabh standing beside one another, with what seems like a vast desert-like setting.
While addressing the Synapse 2024 event in Gurgaon recently, 'Kalki 2898 AD' director Nag Ashwin had said, “I just wish that there was more tech to help us make this film, like three-four years back when we were in preproduction. We are creating this new world like… I am just looking at this picture right now on the screen, and all these different worlds that we are trying to create, we work with so many different concept artists and giving prompts, obviously, again, in a very personal, one-on-one sort of way, and try to give references and build this world.”
‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has been bankrolled by C Aswani Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. The music for the pan-India film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
