‘RRR’ star Jr NTR, who recently attended Golden Globes 2023, was asked a few questions on the red carpet but his English accent got all the attention, inspiring some hilarious memes.
SS Rajamouli's directorial 'RRR', featuring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, made the nation proud by winning a Golden Globe award for its popular song ‘Naatu Naatu’. At a time when the whole country is celebrating the big feat, a section of users flooded social media with hilarious memes inspired by a video of Jr NTR giving an interview on the red carpet of Golden Globes 2023. And while we are all happy for the ‘RRR’ team, a little humour can't hurt anyone.
The ‘RRR’ team arrived excited at the Golden Globes 2023 ceremony and spoke to red carpet host Marc Malkin. However, it was Jr NTR who gained the most attention, courtesy -- his fresh English accent.

In the video, Jr NTR spoke about ‘RRR’ and said, “We thought, taking Rajamouli's track record into consideration, we definitely thought we had a winner. But this was something more than a winner in Japan and today, America… come on, you don't expect this to happen.”
Jr NTR also spoke about wanting to do a Marvel movie and how his fans have been going "berserk" about it. In a sweet gesture, he also wished Marc Malkin on his birthday and brought the host a small present.
But as soon as the interaction went viral, all anyone seemed to talk about was Jr NTR's accent, eventually leading to a meme fest on Twitter.

For the unversed, ‘Naatu Naatu’, a dance number featuring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, competed against Taylor Swift's ‘Carolina’ from ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’, ‘Ciao Papa’ from ‘Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio’, Lady Gaga's ‘Hold My Hand’ from ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, and ‘Lift Me Up’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, performed by Rihanna.
SS Rajamouli's ‘RRR’ was also nominated in the Best Non-English Language Film category at Golden Globes 2023 but lost the award to ‘Argentina, 1985’.
The Golden Globes 2023, hosted by Jerrod Charmichael, was held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
