Prabhas’ Savage Comeback As Rana Daggubati Says He Would’ve Killed Baahubali
Prabhas recently reacted to Rana Daggubati's answer to ‘What if Kattappa didn’t kill Baahubali?’ and it's pure savage.
A decade ago, SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ stunned audiences and set a new benchmark in Indian cinema. As the iconic film completed 10 years on July 10, director SS Rajamouli and lead actors Prabhas and Rana Daggubati came together to celebrate its milestone moment. The anniversary not only rekindled nostalgia but also sparked a fun interaction between the actors that fans can’t stop talking about. The official Baahubali Instagram account stirred excitement by posing the now-legendary question: “What if Kattappa didn’t kill Baahubali?”
Rana, fully channelling Bhallaldeva, jumped into character and responded on Instagram, “I would have killed him!” – punctuated by angry face and laughing emojis. Prabhas was quick to join the banter, re-sharing the post with a poster of himself against a “1000 crore” backdrop, cheekily writing, “I let it happen Bhalla, for this!” To which Rana replied, “Ahhhaaa Bahuu well-played.”
The witty exchange revived memories of one of Indian cinema’s most famous cliff hangers. When ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ released in 2015, it ended with the shocking twist of loyal commander Kattappa stabbing Amarendra Baahubali (Prabhas) in the back.
The moment gave birth to the iconic question, “Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?” – spawning years of memes, fan theories, and unmatched anticipation for the sequel.
Two years later, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ answered the question and made cinematic history. While the first film grossed Rs 650 crore worldwide, the sequel shattered records with Rs 1,700 crore in global earnings. Together, the films created a cultural movement, redefining storytelling in Indian cinema.
Looking ahead, Prabhas is gearing up for ‘The Raja Saab’, a romantic horror comedy directed by Maruthi. Set to release on January 9, 2026, the film features Prabhas in a dual role alongside Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan and Riddhi Kumar.
Meanwhile, Rana Daggubati was last seen in ‘Rana Naidu Season 2’. He is currently awaiting the release of ‘Kothapallilo Okapuddu’, a film he has backed as producer. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on July 18.
Even a decade later, ‘Baahubali’ continues to live on – not just as a film, but as a moment in time that keeps getting better with age and banter.
