‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ Not Postponed! Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna-Starrer To Clash With ‘Singham Again’

Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, was released in 2021. The movie, its songs, and dialogues live in our hearts rent-free to date. The film’s songs such as ‘Oo Antava’, ‘Srivalli’, and ‘Saami Saami’, became insanely popular and were widely used on Instagram reels. Naturally, the anticipation and excitement surrounding the release of, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, has only skyrocketed with the start of 2024 as the movie is scheduled to release this year. However, several rumours suggested that ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, is getting postponed to avoid a clash with Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’.
However, Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind the upcoming ‘Pushpa’ installment, has now put these rumours to rest. On the occasion of ace filmmaker-writer Sukumar’s birthday today, Mythri Movie Makers put out a tweet wishing the ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ director. In the tweet posted on X, they also mentioned the movie’s unchanged release date.
The tweet read, “Wishing the maverick director and the creator of the awe-inspiring world of #Pushpa, @aryasukku a very Happy Birthday #Pushpa2TheRule will be bigger and grander with his vision Grand Release Worldwide on 15th AUG 2024.”

For the unversed, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ was earlier rumoured to be postponed from August 15, 2024 owing to the clash with Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer film ‘Singham Again’.
The Rohit Shetty directorial will star Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Reportedly, Arjun Kapoor is also expected to make an appearance in the movie. However, his look from the movie has not been revealed yet.
Talking about ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, the movie will feature Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu, and many more. The film, written and directed by Sukumar, will have Devi Sri Prasad composing the music like the first part.
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is the sequel to the 2021 film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which was a blockbuster at the box office and even got Allu Arjun a National Award. For the unversed, Allu Arjun had bagged National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in 'Pushpa: The Rise'.
The second part will focus on the face-off between Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil, who was introduced as the prime antagonist towards the end of the first part.
The first installment of the Telugu movie depicted the rise of a low-wage labourer Pushpa Raj in the smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood.
