'Rambaan' motion poster: Mohanlal can be seen standing atop a vintage car.

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will be joining forces with ace filmmaker Joshiy for an actioner titled 'Rambaan'. The film has been penned by Chemban Vinod Jose, and in the latest entertainment news, the film's grand pooja and title launch were held in Kochi on Monday. The makers have also unveiled the film's motion poster, presenting the movie's title.

In the motion poster, an animated Mohanlal can be seen standing atop a vintage car, and he is holding a hammer and a gun. 

Going by the motion poster, the film looks like an action-packed spectacle.

'Rambaan' has been bankrolled jointly by Chembosky Motion Pictures, Einstin Media and Nextel Studios.

As per several reports, the film will go on floors in mid-2024, and the movie will be releasing in theatres in 2025 as a Vishu, Easter release.

'Rambaan's cinematography will be helmed by Sameer Thahir while the editing is being handled by Vivek Harshan.

The soundtrack will be composed by Vishnu Vijay. 

For the unversed, this will be Mohanlal and Joshiy’s 13th film together. 'Bhookambam' (1983) was the movie in which the two collaborated for the first time. 

Mohanlal then essayed the lead roles in Joshiy’s 'January Oru Orma' (1987), 'Naduvazhikal' (1989), 'No.20 Madras Mail' (1990), 'Praja' (2001), 'Mampazhakkalam' (2004), 'Naran' (2005), 'Twenty:20' (2008), 'Christian Brothers' (2011), 'Run Baby Run' (2012), 'Lokpal' (2013) and 'Lailaa O Lailaa' (2015).
