Ricki Dhindsa will soon be coming out with his new song titled 'Pindan Waley' on ICON Music. The new track will be releasing on August 25, 2023. The new Punjabi song will describe the comparison between traditional village life and Western modern-day living. The listeners should also look out for a message in the song and they would get to know about why one should not never forget his or her roots. 'Pindan Waley' has been inspired by traditional folk music. An instrument called a ‘Dilruba’ has also been used after the chorus along with a heavy trap beat, combining both old and new sounds together.
The music video will also feature tractors and jeeps to emphasise the folk nature of the song. The colours in the video are sure to give a very cinematic and raw look.
For the uninitiated, Ricki Dhindsa was born in England. The singer, songwriter and music producer always tries to take music influence from a wide range of different genres such as, American R&B, Hip Hop and Pop.
In his song, Ricki also tries to incorporate American trap beats and he combines it with his classical knowledge to create catchy and unique melodies.
The artist had made his debut as an artist in 2019 with his single 'Damaged Minds'.
In October 2021, he released the song 'Downtown' and it was featured in the BBC Asian Networks track of the week.
Speaking in an interview, as reported by Spotify, Ricky Dhindsa had earlier said: "After making so many compositions to my songs, I think I have finally found my musical style. You're going to be seeing more of this from me now."
