Sudheer Babu has slammed Bollywood star Arshad Warsi after he criticised Prabhas' performance.

South actor Sudheer Babu has slammed Bollywood star Arshad Warsi after the latter criticised Prabhas' performance in Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD'. For the unversed, during a recent interview, Arshad Warsi had said that Prabhas felt like a "joker" in the sci-fi epic, which was released in cinemas in June 2024. In the latest entertainment news, Sudheer Babu has lashed out at Arshad, saying the latter lacks "professionalism". Taking to Instagram Stories, Sudheer Babu wrote, "It's okay to criticize constructively but it's never okay to bad-mouth. Never expected the absence of professionalism from Arshad Warsi. Prabhas's stature is too big for comments coming from small minds..”

Earlier, Arshad Warsi had spoken about how he felt disappointed after watching 'Kalki 2898 AD', which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani.

During a recent interview with Samish Bhatia on his show 'Unfiltered', Arshad Warsi said, "Maine Kalki dekhi, mujhe toh nhi acchi lagi. Mujhe bahut takleef hoti hai jab. Amit ji was unbelievable. I can’t understand that man. I swear if we got the power he has, life ban jaae. He’s unreal."

However, criticising Prabhas, Arshad said, "Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa? Mujhe nahin samajh mein aata."

For the unversed, 'Kalki 2898 AD', turned out to be a smash-hit, making more than Rs 1,000 crore worldwide. It is also the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024. 

During the interview, Arshad Warsi had also praised Rajkummar Rao's 'Srikanth', saying, "I watched Srikant which I liked a lot. I think Rajkummar was great in the film. Bahot badhiya kaam kiya usne."

Arshad Warsi had also praised horror-comedy 'Munjya', starring Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma and Mona Singh.

"I have heard a lot of good things about Munjya. It is a small film with a new guy and Sharvari. It is a horror comedy. I want to watch Kill, also. The industry should experiment with its content. South has been experimenting with films and their content," he said.
