Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda has been cast in Dil Raju's pan-India film 'SVC 59'. The upcoming film will be directed by Ravi Kiran Kola who has previously helmed 'Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru'. On his 35th birthday, Vijay Deverakonda shared an intriguing teaser poster of thhe film, on social media. The poster shows Vijay holding a weapon amidst blood splatter. The poster also has the line, "Khanjar main.. khoon mera.. jung mere hi saath."

The film is being backed by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Other details, such as the film's female lead and other supporting cast are still under wraps.
For the unversed, Vijay Deverakonda is currently shooting for 'VD 12', which is being helmed by Gautham Tinnanuri. The movie also stars Sreeleela.
Vijay Deverakonda is desperately looking for a box office hit after his latest release 'The Family Star' bombed at the box office.
'The Family Star', which also stars Mrunal Thakur, was only able to collect Rs 25 crore in India, as per Sacnilk. The movie has already arrived on Prime Video, and several fans are criticising a scene in the movie, in which Vijay Deverakonda appears to give a rape threat.
Vijay Deverakonda is best known for his role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Arjun Reddy'. The film was later remade into Hindi by the same director, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani.
