For the unversed, the original video features Zara Patel dressed in a black workout one-piece dress inside an elevator.

In the viral deepfake video, Zara's face has been edited using artificial intelligence to resemble Rashmika Mandanna.

Earlier, Rashmika Mandanna had reacted to this video on the internet.

Taking to X, she wrote, "“I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused.”

Actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Mrunal Thakur, and Naga Chaitanya also came forward in support of Rashmika and to talk about the misuse of AI.

On the work front, Rashmika will next be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal', which also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri.

The film is slated to release in theatres on December 1, 2023.
