Maverick batter Virat Kohli celebrated his 35th birthday in the best possible manner as he played an unbeaten knock of 101 runs for Team India against South Africa in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Sunday. With this, Virat Kohli equalled the record of Sachin Tendulkar, and hence, the right-handed batter now has the joint-most centuries (49) in the ODI format.
Virat Kohli's knock helped Team India post 326/5 in the allotted 50 overs, and Ravindra Jadeja then returned with a five-wicket haul, and hence, the Proteas were bundled out for 83, handing the hosts a victory by 243 runs.
During the game, Virat Kohli was seen vibing to 'Jawan' track 'Chaleya', and he even did the signature Shah Rukh Khan pose. The video is now going viral on social media.

Last week, 'Jawan', which collected more than Rs 600 crore at the domestic box office, premiered on Netflix on the occasion of SRK's birthday.

Talking about Team India, the hosts are now confirmed to finish at the top spot in the points table, and it needs to be seen who they face in the semi-finals.
