Former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik is once again making the headlines because of his personal life. Shoaib Malik, who is the ex-husband of Indian tennis player Sania Mirza, recently tied the knot with Pakistani actor Sana Javed. In the latest trending news, the cricketer is garnering attention for allegedly sending flirty messages to Pakistani actor Nawal Saeed. While speaking on chat show 'Life Green Hai', Nawal talked about how she received flirty messages from Pakistani cricketers, and now many are wondering whether she was hinting at Shoaib Malik.
During her appearance on the show, Nawal had left hosts Aijaz Aslam and Nadia Khan shocked when she hinted that she also got messages from married Pakistani cricketers.
When asked if she was talking about Shoaib Malik, Nawal laughed, saying she forgot the name. She also said that she is not too happy about cricketers messaging her. When asked about the context of the messages, Nawal replied, “I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Mujhe sirf ye lagta hai ki cricketers should not be doing that. Actors se zyada log cricketers/sportsman ko idolise karte hai. So if people consider you to be so big, you should not be sliding into DMs," she was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
For the unversed, Sana Javed had married Shoaib Malik in January 2024. The couple had posted photos from their wedding ceremony on social media.
Following the news of Shoaib's wedding with Sana Javed, it was revealed that Sania Mirza that Sania had asked for a 'khula' with Shoaib. For the unversed, khula is an Islamic law through which a woman can initiate a divorce from her husband unilaterally.
“Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now," Sania Mirza's family's statement read.
“She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead. At this sensitive period of her life, we would like to request all fans and well-wishers to refrain from indulging in any speculation and to respect her need for privacy,” the statement added.
Before his marriage to Sana Javed, Shoaib Malik was married to Sania Mirza. The duo had married each other in April 2010.
