From 'Crew' to 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire', here is a list of movies that you can watch in theatres this weekend.

Cinephiles are in for a treat as there are several movies running simultaneously in theatres. The weekend is here, and there are some new releases! Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon and Tabu-starrer 'Crew' has released in cinemas today. However, this is not the only release of this week, as a big Hollywood film in the form of 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire' has also hit the theatres. There are previous weeks releases as well -- 'Shaitaan', 'Yodha', 'Kung Fu Panda 4', 'Swantantrya Veer Savarkar', 'Dune: Part Two' and 'Madgaon Express' also running in cinemas. 

Viewers have plenty of options to choose from, and hence in this article, we will name our top five picks to watch in cinemas this weekend.

Crew

This Rajesh Krishnan-directorial stars Kriti Sanon, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma. The new Bollywood film has reasonable hype around it, and after a long time, a film based on female friendship has released in cinemas. The new Hindi movie is set against the backdrop of the airline industry. The new Hindi movie is co-produced by Ektaa Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, who are reuniting after the 2023 Bollywood movie ‘Thank You For Coming’.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

The new Hollywood film is a sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), and the fifth film in the MonsterVerse franchise. It is also the 38th film of the Godzilla franchise and the 13th film in the King Kong franchise. The film stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen. Hall. In the film, Kong will end up discovering more of his species in the Hollow Earth and he then must unite with Godzilla to stop their tyrannical leader.

Dune: Part Two

'Dune: Part Two', starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, released in cinemas on March 1, 2024, and the film is still available on select theatres in India. Trust us, this is that one film of the year that you cannot afford to miss. The hype is worth it. 'Dune: Part Two' has already made more than USD 500 million at the worldwide box office. The movie follows Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) as he unites with the Fremen people of the desert planet Arrakis to wage war against House Harkonnen. The movie also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, ,Javier Bardem, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, Léa Seydoux, and Souheila Yacoub. 

Shaitaan

Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan and Jyotika-starrer 'Shaitaan', released in cinemas on March 8, and the Vikas Bahl-directorial has already made more than Rs 130 crore at the domestic box office. This supernatural-thriller is definitely a big screen experience. 

Madgaon Express

This Kunal Kemmu-directorial, starring Avinash Tiwary, Divyendu and Pratik Gandhi released in cinemas last week. The movie has opened to remarkable reviews, and this comedy is one of the best to come out of Bollywood in recent times. 'Madgaon Express' is the directorial debut of Kunal Kemmu and it has been produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner of Excel Entertainment.
