Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were blessed with a baby boy Akaay. Hours later a host of fake profiles have surfaced.

It is a happy occasion for Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. The duo announced the birth of their second child, baby boy Akaay. Ever since this announcement was made, fans of both Anushka and Virat cannot keep calm and they are expressing their joy through various posts on social media. However, as always, some social media users have gone a little too far. In the latest entertainment news, numerous fraudulent social media accounts have emerged online. These accounts claim to be representing the newborn and have already amassed followers in thousands.

If you go and search 'Akaay Kohli' on Instagram and X, you will see hundreds of profiles popping up, which have the display picture of either Virat, Anushka, or both.

These fake profiles are turning out to be quite a nuisance on social media. These users have not even read the statement of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, it seems.

When the duo announced the birth of their second child, they specifically asked the fans to request their privacy. But well, looks like some netizens have just ignored the couple's request.

"With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay, Vamika's little brother into this world," the couple said in their statement.

"We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Regards, Virat & Anushka," the statement added.

'Akaay' is a Hindi word with a Turkish origin. In Sanskrit, the word Akaay means "anything or something that is without kaay, aka form or body." The name is derived from the word kaaya, which means body.

On the work front, Anushka Sharma will next be seen in Netflix film 'Chakda Xpress', in which she will be essaying the life of former India woman cricketer Jhulan Goswami.

Talking about Kohli, the cricketer is not a part of the Indian squad for the ongoing Test series against England, which India lead 2-1, as of now.
