BHU has gone ahead with a derogatory act in which some of the students slut-shamed Deepika Padukone.

Ever since Deepika Padukone made an appearance alongside her husband Ranveer Singh on the premiere episode of 'Koffee With Karan 8', some trolls have been attacking her. It all started with Deepika Padukone revealing that she was seeing other guys before being married to Ranveer Singh. However, she did say that the equation changed after tying the knot with the 'Bajirao Mastani' actor. However, things are definitely getting ugly and in the latest entertainment news, a popular university in Banaras has gone ahead with a derogatory act in which some of the students slut-shamed the 'Cocktail' actress.

A video, purportedly from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi, is going viral on social media, in which students can be seen portraying scenes to depict Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone’s romantic history.

Watch the video here:

In the footage, a female student can be seen playing Deepika’s character ‘Mastani,’ from 'Bajirao Mastani' and she is standing at the centre of the stage. She is then surrounded by some male students, who are each dressed as individuals rumoured to be her past boyfriends or connections.

The entire sequence was titled 'Deepika ki Kahaani, BHU ki Zubaani', and the students embodied famous personalities with whom Deepika Padukone has been linked with in the past.

The photos of Dino Morea, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Siddharth Mallya, Ranbir Kapoor, and her husband Ranveer Singh were also displayed on the screen.

Netizens are not pleased with this act, and they are calling out the university for this "shameful act."

Here are some of the reactions:

For the unversed, during their appearance on the talk show, Deepika and Ranveer opened up on their arrangement they had in the initial stages of their relationship.

“I wanted to be single for a while because I had come from difficult relationships. I was going through a phase where I said ‘I just don’t want to be attached, don’t want to be committed’. And I had fun. And then he comes along, so I didn’t ‘commit, commit’, until he proposed to me. There was no commitment as such. Even if we were technically allowed to see other people, we would just keep coming back to each other," said Deepika.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone will star as a female cop in Rohit Shetty's ‘Singham Again’. The first look of her as Shakti Shetty was launched recently on social media.

Besides ‘Singham Again’, Deepika Padukone will be seen in ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. She will also be seen along with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.
