Israeli actor and screenwriter Lior Raz, who is known for playing the role of Doron Kabilio in the popular TV series 'Fauda', recently joined the 'Brothers in Arms' protest group which is made of volunteers consisting of retired soldiers to assist the population in South Israel amid the attack by Hamas militant group in the region, reported Indian Express.

The actor took to X to post a video of himself along with Yohanan Plesner, president of the Israel Democracy Institute, and journalist Avi Issacharoff.

In the video, we can see these three taking cover behind walls as rockets fly overhead.

“Accompanied by Yohanan Plesner @yplesner and Avi @issacharoff, I headed down south to join hundreds of brave “brothers in arms” volunteers who worked tirelessly to assist the population in the south of Israel. We were sent to the bombarded town of Sderot to extract 2 families,” Raz wrote on X.

Here are some of the comments:

“Praying for you Doron,” a user commented.

“Sending our love, prayers and solidarity,” said another user.
“For me, you are the first reel hero who is a real hero,” commented another user.

“It’s not often that art intersects with life in such a visceral way. Thank you for your bravery. Be safe,” said yet another user.

For the unversed, Riaz and Issacharoff had created the thriller series 'Fauda' after drawing on their experiences in the Israel Defence Forces.

Nearly 1,600 people have been killed in Hamas' strike on Israel and the counterstrike.

After 5,000 rockets were launched by Hamas militant group, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Hamas.

"Israel is at war. We didn't want this war. It was forced upon us in the most brutal and savage way. But though Israel didn't start this war, Israel will finish it," he said.
