"Primary Source Of Income": Orry Reveals How Much He Is Paid For Attending Weddings
Social media star Orry has revealed how much he is paid for attending weddings, and the amount will make you go green with envy.
No one really knows what Orhan Awatramani aka Orry does for a living, but he continues to dominate the social media chatter. Recently, he was spotted at the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Orry then posted pictures with several Bollywood A-listers such as Janhvi Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Saif Ali Khan, and Kareena Kapoor, among others. In the latest Bollywood celebrity news, Orry has finally revealed his "primary source of income." In an interview, Orry has spoken about his brand, saying that his focus is to "spread the message of happiness.”
“My focus is to spread the message of happiness. It resonates with people, keeps me going, and allows me to attend events that bring joy to others and myself. These appearances are currently my primary source of income," Orry shared with Forbes.
"People call me to weddings and they are happy to pay me anywhere between Rs 15 lakh-Rs 30 lakh. They want me to attend not as a guest but as a friend, maybe to the groom or someone else. So my actual audience keeps me so afloat that they want me there at their events," he added.
Orry also said that he is not interested in selling any merchandise associated with his name at the moment.
The social media star also said that if he starts a business, like a make-up line, it "will be an affordable one.”
“My audience comes first, and being pricey isn’t the goal here. I can make money elsewhere. Accessibility is important," said Orry.
In the past few months, Orry has been associated with brands like Vaseline and CRED.
Orry had also made an appearance on 'Koffee With Karan 8's final episode.
During his appearance on the chat show, Orry discussed the presence of his lookalikes, who make it possible for him to be present at different locations.
“I do have lookalikes to sometimes hold fire until I arrive. So there is an Orry lookalike who will be at the event until I actually get from Nariman Point to BKC and then from BKC to Bandra to some movie premiere. We all wear the same outfit and the same look, and they just won’t talk. The minute they talk it goes away," Orry said.
“I have three silent doppelgangers. They have to be sent out to hold base until I arrive. They pose and dress like me but they don’t talk,” he added.
