Former England football captain and Manchester United legend David Beckham is currently in India, and he also attended the Cricket World Cup 2023 semi-final between India and New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday. In the latest entertainment news, actress Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja hosted a grand dinner party for the star in Mumbai.
The guest list of the dinner party also included Sonam's father Anil Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput.

For the unversed, David Beckham is a global ambassador of UNICEF, and this is the main reason behind his visit to India.
The football legend attended the CWC 2023 semi-final between India and New Zealand, and he was a part of a guest list, which also included Rajinikanth, Madhuri Dixit, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Shahid Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani among others.
David Beckham also congratulated Virat Kohli after the latter broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar. Virat Kohli now has the most number of ODI centuries (50).
“Well, I’d like to say I had something to do with it (the record), but I didn’t. It’s a great pleasure to be here at this stadium and see a moment of history," David Beckham told Star Sports.
"I spoke to Sachin earlier and I know what he’s achieved at this stadium and in this sport and to see Virat do that was special. It’s my first time in India and it couldn’t have been better,” he added.
Team India defeated New Zealand by 70 runs in the first semi-final, and the hosts will take on either Australia or South Africa in the summit clash on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
