'Bigg Boss 16' fame Abdu Rozik shocked everyone when he announced his engagement in May 2024. He had then revealed that he would be getting married in July this year. However, the wedding festivities were then postponed. In the latest entertainment news, Abdu Rozik has announced that he has called off his marriage with Amira, and he cited cultural differences as the reason behind the duo parting ways. In a statement with India Today, Abdu said, "I am sad to announce that I have cancelled my wedding. This is due to some cultural differences that became apparent as our journey progressed. As you all know, I am classed as a person of determination and this has its challenges in everyday life and requires an extremely strong and mentally equipped partner who is able to cope with that."
"I will forever cherish the relationships and friendships I have made. I hope to find love again in the future and hope for all your well-wishes," he added.
The singer also said that he has not lost his faith in love.
“I am forever grateful for my health and because I am the way I am, you all know me and I became so prominent, so I never feel sad about being myself," he said.
For the uninitiated, Abdu Rozik got engaged to Amira in Sharjah, UAE in April 2024.
Speaking about his engagement back in May, Abdu told Khaleej Times, "I cannot imagine anything more precious than this love. I cannot wait to start my new journey in life. Everyday life is not easy for me, and finding love seemed an even harder challenge as there are so many obstacles. But Allhamdulillah, I’ve found Amira, and she loves me for who and what I am.”
For the unversed, Abdu Rozik had met Amira at Cipriani Dolci at Dubai Mall in February 2024.
Abdu Rozik became a household name after participating in 'Bigg Boss 16'. His friendship with Shiv Thakare won hearts of fans, and ever since then, he is a favourite amongst fans.
Abdu Rozik also made a brief appearance on 'Bigg Boss 17'. It is no secret that the singer enjoys a great equation with 'Bigg Boss' host Salman Khan.
