'Bigg Boss 17': In the latest episode, Ankita Lokhande revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput was being manipulated after the actor found success in Bollywood.
Ankita Lokhande, who made her Bollywood debut with Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, rose to fame after playing the role of Archana in the popular TV show ‘Pavitra Rishta’, which also starred late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Their on-screen and off-screen chemistry was loved by all. They spent many years together before breaking up in 2016. Ankita Lokhande is now married to businessman Vicky Jain, and the two are currently in the ‘Bigg Boss 17’ house. Recently, Ankita Lokhande opened up about her breakup with Sushant Singh Rajput for the very first time on ‘BB 17’.
The actress was seen chatting with co-contestant Munawar Faruqui inside the 'Bigg Boss 17' house. She talked about how she was with Sushant Singh Rajput for about seven years. Ankita Lokhande then spoke about how she and Sushant broke up suddenly.
Ankita Lokhande also shared that once Sushant Singh Rajput started gaining success in Bollywood, people tried to manipulate him.
"Wo ek dum ek raat mein gayab ho gaya. Success mil rahi thi toh log uske kaan bhar rahe the," Ankita told Munawar in a 'Bigg Boss 17' episode, as reported by The Indian Express.
In the episode, Ankita Lokhande also spoke about how Sushant Singh Rajput never gave her any explanation for their breakup. She said that the actor moved on, but it took some time for her to get over him.
For the unversed, Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput had fallen in love on the sets of TV serial 'Pavitra Rishta'. The duo had begun dating in 2010, and the breakup happened in 2016.
Talking about 'Pavitra Rishta', Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput played the roles of Archana and Manav, respectively.
Sushant Singh Rajput then quit the show in 2011 to focus on his Bollywood career. The actor had died in June 2020, and at that time, he was dating actress Rhea Chakraborty.
For the unversed, Ankita Lokhande is currently married to Vicky Jain, and her husband is also a part of the ongoing 'Bigg Boss 17'.
“It is not easy for a man to watch his to-be wife giving interviews on her ex-boyfriend on television and talking about her past. There were different stories emerging everyday and I was right there talking about Sushant all the time. Vicky comes from a very respectable family. I remember they called me and supported me saying, ‘Don’t worry, all will be well,” she had told ETimes.
