“Baap Of…”: After Rashami Desai’s Criticsm, Karan Kundrra Praises Ranveer Singh, Johnny Sins' Commercial
Following some stinging remarks from Rashami Desai, Karan Kundrra has now spoken in support of Ranveer Singh and Johnny Sins’ commercial.
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh recently took the internet by surprise when he dropped the video of his latest advertisement. Partnering with a sexual wellness brand to spread awareness about erectile dysfunction, Ranveer Singh collaborated with adult star Johnny Sins for the same. While many people hailed the commercial, the ad didn’t sit well with Indian actress Rashami Desai. The actress first took to Instagram Stories to criticize Ranveer Singh and Johnny Sins’ commercial. She later also spoke about it in an interview with Hindustan Times.
However, now actor Karan Kundrra has taken to social media to praise the commercial, calling it “the baap of all ads”.
The advertisement is set in the format of a Hindi TV serial, shot in the typical dramatized tone. Karan shared the advertisement on Instagram Stories and wrote, “The Krazzy Kollab we didn’t know we needed!! The Baap of all Ads. Well done baba!! @raveersingh @bold.care.”
He added, “What’s important is to talk about men’s sexual health, and having used our TV serials ka template to cut through all the noise, I’m all for it!!”

Karan Kundrra’s post comes after Rashami Desai criticised the advertisement for mocking the Hindi television industry. The Indian actress, who has appeared in several hit TV series and Bhojpuri films, called this a slap on the television industry.
In a long post shared on her IG Stories, Rashami Desai wrote, “I’ve started my work from a regional film industry. And then started working in television industry. People call it a small screen. Where normal people watch news, cricket, all the Bollvwood films also, and much more. After watching this reel, which is highly unexpected, I felt it’s a humiliation to all the TV industry and people who work in television. Because we are always made feel smaller. Actors really wanna work on big screen too, this is how exactly we get treated. Everyone is working hard. But I’m sorry, TV show pe yeh sab nahi dikhate. This all happens on big screen. And nothing wrong in showing some reality but this is reality check for all the TV industry coz I feel it’s a slap. May be I am overreacting. But we show culture and love to our audience. And I am hurt coz I’ve had respectful journey in TV industry. Hope you all will understand the emotion.”
In the advertisement, a woman can be seen complaining to Ranveer Singh about his brother (Johnny Sins) and how he is struggling with erectile dysfunction. She then uses several sexual innuendos to highlight Johnny’s condition.
As the advertisement progresses ahead, the woman threatens to leave the house, and then she is slapped by her mother-in-law, and this leads to her falling from the first floor.
It is then that Johnny Sins is handed a Bold Care pill by Ranveer Singh. Johnny then comes to her rescue, and is able to satisfy his wife.
For the unversed, the viral advertisement has been written by Tanmay Bhat, Devaiah Bopanna, and their team. It has been directed by Ayappa KM.
This campaign also marks Johnny Sins' first-ever advertisement for an Indian brand.
For the unversed, Ranveer Singh had shared the advertisement on his Instagram account on Monday, and the campaign was lauded by several celebrities such as Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Vikrant Massey, and Nakuul Mehta.
