Rashami Desai Calls Ranveer Singh, Johnny Sins' Collaboration "Humiliation", Says "It's A Slap" For TV Industry
Rashami Desai is not impressed with Ranveer Singh and Johnny Sins creating a parody of Hindi TV serials by using dramatic dialogues and sound effects.
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is garnering praise from all corners for his recent collaboration with adult star Johnny Sins for an advertisement on sexual awareness. However, in the latest entertainment news, it seems that TV actress and 'Bigg Boss 13' star Rashami Desai is not impressed with Ranveer Singh and Johnny Sins creating a parody of Hindi TV serials by using dramatic dialogues and sound effects. Rashami Desai took to her Instagram Stories to write that the advertisement mocks Indian television industry, and she is not okay with it.
“I’ve started my work from the regional film industry. And then started working in television industry. People call it a small screen. Where normal people watch news, cricket, all the Bollvwood films also, and much more. After watching this reel, which is highly unexpected, I felt it’s a humiliation to all the TV industry and people who work in television. Because we (are) always made feel smaller. Actors really wanna work on big screen too, this is how exactly we get treated," she wrote on Instagram Stories.
"Everyone is working hard. But I’m sorry, TV show pe yeh sab nahi dikhate. This all happens on big screen. And nothing wrong in showing some reality but this is reality check for all the TV industry coz I feel it’s a slap. May be I am overreacting. But we show culture and love to our audience. And I am hurt coz I’ve had respectful journey in TV industry. Hope you all will understand the emotion," she added.

Here are some of the comments:
"If you're doing good TV shows, good for you, but the kind of TV shows that was parodied in the ad do exist. People make parodies of good movies as well. No big deal," wrote one user.
"I see Rashmi's concern here but lot of TV shows have become over dramatic, good that this spoof came from within the country, gives a certain legitimacy/ validation otherwise I have seen a lot of content creators from Africa starting to make fun of our TV serials in recent times. Before others laugh at us, why not we only make this a lighthearted funny moment," wrote another user.
"Why are tv actors this sensitive??Like pick any serial and it’s the most regressive mind numbing thing you would have ever watched," wrote one user.
