"Hide Behind Alcohol Because...": Pooja Bhatt Says Divorce With Manish Makhija Was "Lowest Phase" Of Her Life
Bigg Boss OTT 2: Pooja Bhatt has now confided in Jiya Shankar about the time she got divorced, and how it is the lowest time of her life.
During the last 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode of 'Bigg Boss OTT 2', Salman Khan had asked all the remaining contestants about their lowest moments. Many then spoke about the struggle in their respective careers, however, no one spoke about their personal life. In the latest entertainment news, Pooja Bhatt has confided in Jiya Shankar about the time she got divorced, and how it is the "lowest phase" of her life.
In the 'Bigg Boss OTT 2' episode which aired on Monday, Pooja Bhatt told Jiya: "I said that I wanted to live my life with comfort or keep my 10 to 11 years old relationship. My husband was not a bad person. But then I thought I had lost myself and it was not for somebody else or the betterment of life. I wanted myself back."
“People ask if you are ok and people prefer you say so. And later you go and hide behind alcohol because the bottle delivers. Then I thought that I wanted to set myself free and find myself but I drilled myself more into a bad zone. So that phase in my life was the lowest phase of my life," she added.
Pooja Bhatt then said that she had pushed herself to the bottom of the pool, but her survivor instinct kicked in, and she has made her way back up.
"That’s very important but when I look back to that phase I never push myself away from it. I look straight in the eye and said yes you have become this otherwise what’s the difference between a bottle and a person. So now the universe said that I am ready,” said Pooja Bhatt.
This is not the first time that Pooja Bhatt has opened up about her personal life on the show. She had earlier spoken about her alcoholism and how she got rid of the habit.
For the unversed, Pooja Bhatt was earlier married to Manish Makhija and the duo decided to part ways after 11 years of togetherness.
Talking about nominations for this week, Jiya Shankar, Avinash Sachdev, Jad Hadid and Manisha Rani are in the danger zone while Bebika Dhurve, Pooja Bhatt, Abhishek Malhan and Elvish Yadav have secured a direct entry into the finale week.
Last week, Aashika Bhatia was evicted from the show. During the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan had blasted Bebika Dhurve and Elvish Yadav for their behaviour.
