Ranvir Shorey Calls Breakup With Pooja Bhatt "Biggest Scandal" Of His Life
Ranvir Shorey has termed his breakup with Pooja Bhatt as the "biggest scandal" of his life.
'Bigg Boss OTT 3' is well and truly underway and over the past two weeks, Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey has emerged as one of the most liked contestants on the show. In the latest entertainment news, Ranvir Shorey has managed to form a close bond with journalist Deepak Chaurasia and he is often seen speaking his heart out with him. In a recent conversation, Ranvir Shorey recalled his past relationship with Bollywood actress Pooja Bhatt.
Ranvir Shorey called the relationship the "biggest scandal of his life". The actor recalled the time when he was shooting for 'Lakshya' in 2002, and how he received a call informing about his mother's ill health.
“During the same time, I also encountered the biggest scandal of my life with another actress. As I was unable to cope, my brother asked me to come to the US with him for a while. I pursued a six-month acting course in the US and borrowed money from my brother. After returning from the US, I started shooting for The Great Indian Comedy Show in 2005," said Ranvir Shorey.
"At that time, two of my long-shelved films were greenlit for release and hit theaters back-to-back within a week and my work was loved by audiences. After those films, I finally felt my life was steady as an actor and that I had arrived," he added.
For the unversed, Pooja Bhatt and Ranvir Shorey had an ugly separation.
Earlier, Ranvir Shorey had claimed that Mahesh Bhatt was "manipulating" him, and there was very "duplicitous behaviour going on."
In a conversation with news agency ANI, Ranvir Shorey had said, "I had great regard for Mr Bhatt (Mahesh Bhatt) till the fiasco happened when I was seeing his daughter (Pooja Bhatt). Then I saw that actually whatever respect I had for him was being used to manipulate me… very duplicitous behaviour going on.”
In 2010, Ranvir Shorey married actress Konkona Sen Sharma, and the duo welcomed a son Haroon in 2011.
The couple however separated in 2015. The duo now share their son's custody.
