Watch: Deepika Padukone Plants A Kiss On Ranveer Singh After This Remark From Rohit Shetty
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were in attendance for the ‘Current Laga Re’ song launch from the upcoming film 'Cirkus'.
The Rohit Shetty-directorial 'Cirkus' released its first song from the movie on Thursday and at an promotional event in Mumbai, both Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were in attendance. Deepika, who has a cameo in the movie, can be seen shaking a leg alongside husband Ranveer Singh in the song titled 'Current Laga Re'. At the promotional event, director Rohit Shetty was asked about working with both Ranveer and Deepika. It was then that he said: "Speaking honestly, Deepika and I were working together for the first time after Chennai Express, the five days that we shot with Deepika, no one looked at Ranveer. Everyone was looking at Deepika."
As soon as Rohit Shetty made this revelation, Deepika went up to Ranveer to give him a peck on his cheek. Looking at Deepika's gesture, Ranveer made a quirky comment, saying: "If I get this (peck on the cheeks), then everything works."
The song 'Current Laga Re' has been sung by Nakash Aziz, Dhvani Bhanushali, Jonita Gandhi, Lijo George and the Tamil rap has been done by Vivek Hariharan.
It was during the same promotional event that Rohit Shetty announced that Deepika would be playing a lady cop in the third installment of 'Singham' franchise.
The first trailer of 'Cirkus' was released on December 2 and by the looks of it, one can expect a vibrant and fun experience at the theatres.
Going by the nearly four-minute-long trailer, ‘Cirkus’ surely promises unlimited entertainment and laughs for the viewers.
Apart from introducing the audience to Ranveer Singh in a double role, the trailer also introduced us to the characters of Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Varun Sharma, Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez.
Ashwini Kalsekar, Mukesh Tiwari, Vrajesh Hirjee, Siddharth Jadhav, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Anil Charanjeett, Murli Sharma, Tiku Talsania, Radhika Bangia, Brijendra Kala, Saurabh Gokhale, Ashish Warang, Umakant Patil and Uday Tikekar are also starring in the upcoming Bollywood movie.
‘Cirkus’ will hit theatres on December 23, 2022.
