It is important to mention that a high-profile show starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor titled 'The Night Manager' released on Friday and on the same, the 1st day of the ongoing 2nd Test between India and Australia was also being streamed live on the app and website.

When one opens Hotstar app on iPhone, the message reads: "Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again in sometime."
While, on Android, the message reads: "Something went wrong, try again."
On the other hand, the website is not opening when one tries on the Desktop.
Currently, no time frame has been given in terms of when the website and app will be up again.
Within five minutes of Hotstar not working, netizens started trending #Hotstar on Twitter.
What makes matters worse is that no other app or website is currently streaming the ongoing 2nd Test between India and Australia.
