“I Stand With Prithvi Shaw”: Fans Back India Cricketer After Controversial Fight With Influencer Sapna Gill
Social media influencer Sapna Gill was arrested on Thursday for allegedly manhandling India batter Prithvi Shaw.
Right-handed batter Prithvi Shaw is no stranger to controversies. However, the cricketer was involved in an unsavoury incident, as some fans allegedly manhandled him as he refused to take selfies after a point. As per a report in News18, in the wee hours of Wednesday, an argument resulted in a fight in which Prithvi Shaw was chased by a car. The whole episode unfolded as Prithvi Shaw refused to take selfies. As per media reports, Prithvi Shaw was allegedly manhandled and his car was smashed with a baseball bat outside a hotel in Mumbai.
The fans who were involved in this incident have been identified as Sapna Gill and her friend Shobhit Thakur. For the unversed, Sapna is a famous social media influencer. The video of the whole incident has also gone viral on social media.

As per Hindustan Times, Sapna Gill was called to the police station on Thursday for questioning and hours later, she was taken into custody. However, Sapna Gill's lawyer has claimed that the social media influencer was just trying to take a selfie, however, the cricketer was allegedly intoxicated and then misbehaved with her.
The lawyer also said that his client was hit with a wooden bat by Prithvi Shaw.
Talking about Sapna Gill, she has appeared in films such as 'Mera Watan' and 'Kashi Amarnath'.
On the other hand, Prithvi Shaw was recently in India's squad for the T20I series against New Zealand, but he did not get a single game.
