Sapna Gill was arrested by the Mumbai police on Thursday for allegedly attacking Prithvi Shaw’s car outside a luxury hotel in Santacruz on Wednesday night. Reportedly, the Mumbai police has also booked seven others in the same case.
The incident unfolded after the influencer-actress and her friend, Shobhit Thakur, asked for a selfie with Prithvi Shaw.
As per reports, Prithvi Shaw obliged her but did not entertain their further requests for multiple selfies, following which a security guard asked Gill and her friend to leave the premises.
After Shaw was leaving the hotel with his friends, Sapna Gill and Shobhit Thakur along with a few others allegedly hit his car with a baseball bat.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, which shows the Indian cricketer being manhandled.

However, Sapna Gill’s advocate has claimed that his client was a fan of Prithvi Shaw and just wanted a selfie with him but the cricketer was drunk and misbehaved with her.
