IPL 2023 opening ceremony: Tamannaah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandanna also named their two favourite cricketers, and incidentally both took the same names.
IPL 2023 opening ceremony will take place later today and the excitement has reached fever pitch as fans eagerly wait for the tournament to start. IPL 2023 opening ceremony is being billed as a grand affair with South film beauties, Tamannaah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandanna, all set to enthrall the crowd with their dance moves and energy. The official handle of the Indian Premier League shared a video of both Tamannaah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandanna speaking about the IPL 2023 opening ceremony, cricket on a whole and many other things. In the video, fans also got a glimpse of Tamannaah Bhatia’s ‘thumkas’ and ‘jhatkas’ as she was seen practicing for the IPL opening ceremony.

“Performing on stage is something I have enjoyed since I started my career. But I do feel everytime you perform on stage it is very exhilarating and it’s almost like the nervous energy is inevitable. Getting the opportunity to perform with Arijit (Singh) and Rashmika, it’s something I am really looking forward to,” Tamannaah Bhatia said in the video posted by IPL handle.
“I always wanted to go witness a match but never got the opportunity. Today I’m going to be performing in the opening ceremony. Generally, when I watch a match, I get too anxious, I have my emotions up and down,” an excited Rashmika Mandanna said.
The two pretty ladies also named their two favourite cricketers, and incidentally both took the same names.
“When I watch, I get very involved and very invested. Definitely, Dhoni has been everyone’s favourite, and I’m no different, and Virat. I think these two are my favourite players,” said the beautiful Tamannaah.
“Of course Dhoni sir and Virat sir, like we have all of our players who are like top notch,” Rashmika said.
The IPL 2023 opening ceremony is being held at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. It will be a precursor to the actual fireworks that begins with defending champions Gujarat Titans taking on MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings.
