"My Baby": Shah Rukh Khan Says "Jhoome Jo Rinku" As KKR Stun Gujarat Titans In IPL 2023
IPL 2023: Rinku Singh hit 5 consecutive sixes in the final over to help KKR defeat Gujarat Titans. And no surprise, SRK was left in awe!
Shah Rukh Khan returned to the silver screen after a gap of four years in 2023. His comeback project 'Pathaan' was a blockbuster as the movie collected more than Rs 1,000 crore at the global box office and it also became the highest-grossing Hindi film in India, breaking the record of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'. However, the blockbuster status of 'Pathaan' needs to be looked at, as the real smash hit came on Sunday courtesy SRK's IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders and left-handed batter Rinku Singh.
In 'Pathaan', SRK was seen flying jet-packs, and doing high-octane action. Looks like Rinku Singh decided to be 'Pathaan' in real life as he channeled his inner beast to hit five consecutive sixes in the final over to help KKR pull off a heist against Gujarat Titans in the ongoing IPL 2023.
Needing 29 in the final over, not many would have given KKR a chance, but Rinku Singh had other plans and he hit the final five balls of the match for sixes, to help KKR snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
After the win, Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to congratulate the KKR players. He also posted the poster of 'Pathaan', and on it, instead of SRK, the face of Rinku Singh was present.
Taking to Twitter, the actor wrote: "JHOOME JO RINKUUUUU !!! My baby @rinkusingh235 And @NitishRana_27 & @venkateshiyer you beauties!!! And remember Believe that’s all. Congratulations @KKRiders and @VenkyMysore take care of your heart sir."

Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan also took to his Instagram story to laud the effort of Rinku Singh. Sharing a snippet from the match, Aryan wrote: "Beast @RINKUKUMAR12."
Even Ranveer Singh was not able to hold his excitement, and taking to Twitter, he wrote: "RINKU !!!!!!!!! RINKU !!!!!!! RINKU !!!!!!! RINKU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeh kya tha !?!?!?"

In the match between Gujarat Titans and KKR, the former batted first and posted 204/4 in 20 overs, owing to knocks of 63 and 53 by Vijay Shankar and B Sai Sudharshan respectively.
Chasing 205, KKR was bossing the game at one stage after the score read 128/3 in the 14th over, but wickets of Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana brought Gujarat Titans back in the game. Rashid Khan's hat-trick in the 17th over put Gujarat Titans in the front.
But Rinku Singh had some other plans, and his final over heroics helped KKR defeat Gujarat Titans.
