Anurag Kashyap's Daughter Aaliyah Slams Troll Who Said Her Fiance Shane Is Living Off Her Dad's Money
Aaliyah Kashyap recently slammed a social media user who said that her fiancé Shane Gregoire is using her father Anurag Kashyap’s money.
Ace filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah Kashyap recently made headlines after she announced her engagement to her boyfriend Shane Gregoire. The two lovebirds got engaged in May during a trip to Bali, and later announced it to the world on social media. Aaliyah also shared a vlog on her YouTube channel, answering the most-asked fan questions about their engagement and wedding. However, one person posted a nasty comment, stating that Shane is living off Anurag Kashyap’s money.
The troll had written, “What does he do for a living? So basically he lives off your dad’s money. Nice.”
Aaliyah Kashyap shut down the troll like a boss, writing in response to the comment, “He has run his own company since he was 15. He's been completely financially independent since he was 17. Neither of us take money from our parents. I don't understand why people like you have so much hatred in your hearts."
In the vlog posted on Aaliyah Kashyap’s YouTube channel, she elaborated on Shane Gregoire’s profession, and said, “He has a company called Rocket Powered Sound, that he’s been running since 15. He started his first business when he was 15 and he is still running it, which is pretty cool.”
To this, Shane added, “That’s been a long time, like seven or eight years now I have been in the business. I really like that but there’s also some other stuff that I do as well.”
In the same vlog, Aaliyah also revealed that she got a lot of negative comments for getting engaged at the age of 22.
She said, “I don’t really care if people have hate about us marrying young. I know we are young, but I don’t really care.”
Shane shared that he doesn’t “see the issue at all” and finds it “stupid that people make such a big thing of this.”
Shane and Aaliyah’s engagement was celebrated by the latter’s father, Anurag Kashyap, who took to his Instagram account to congratulate the couple in a hilarious way.
Anurag Kashyap, who was attending the Cannes Film Festival 2023 at the time of Aaliyah and Shane’s engagement announcement, hilariously reacted to the news by sharing a light-hearted post dedicated to Aaliyah Kashyap and her boyfriend.
He wrote, “@cinemakasam is pissed off saying ,”yahan to phone chhod do !!” . Unaware that I am calculating the number of remakes I will have to do to throw a wedding soiree, because my dearest @aaliyahkashyap and her beau , my lovely @shanegregoire threw a total curveball at us in the middle of our @festivaldecannes journey of #Kennedy by announcing their engagement.”
