And the latest one features none other than Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan taking on popular YouTuber and stand-up comic Samay Raina in a friendly but fiercely competitive game of chess. With ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ promotions in full swing, Aamir Khan seems to be mixing work with a bit of play, and this viral clip is proof of his sharp focus both on and off screen.
Samay Raina, known for his viral YouTube reality show ‘India’s Got Latent’ and pandemic-era chess streams, shared a short clip from his recent interaction with Aamir Khan on Instagram. He captioned the video, “Aamir Khan beat me (in chess).”

While Samay Raina’s chess content had taken a backseat following controversy surrounding his show, the latest video gave fans a nostalgic throwback – complete with his signature humour and Aamir Khan’s intense game face.
In the video, Aamir Khan – ever the perfectionist – asked the camera crew to “record everything” before kicking off the match.
“Maar raha hu isse. Aadha ghanta khelenge hum log,” he declared, fully confident. As Samay Raina made a questionable move, Aamir immediately called it out with, “Gadbad kar di tune mere dost,” and later added, “Abhi itna kacha bhi nahi hun bhai,” reminding everyone that he’s no novice on the chessboard.
As the game progressed and Aamir Khan seemed poised to win, Samay Raina attempted to distract him with a joke. But Aamir quickly shut it down with a playful, “Sun abhi confuse nahi karna.”
After securing his win, the superstar smiled and quipped, “Aamir Khan se haara hai, khush hona chahiye tereko,” to which Samay Raina cheekily responded, “Koi nahi sir. Kabhi kabhi Laal Singh Chaddha bhi ho jata hai.”
The video ended with Aamir Khan walking off saying, “Tu daalega yeh,” asking Samay to make sure he posts the clip.
Meanwhile, Samay Raina’s career hit a rough patch earlier this year after an episode of ‘India’s Got Latent’ – featuring Ranveer Allahabadia, Apoorva Mukhija and others – sparked backlash for alleged obscene content, leading to multiple FIRs and the deletion of all episodes. His comedy tour in India was put on hold, and he is currently touring the UK with his live show.
Despite the setbacks, this light-hearted clip with Aamir Khan has brought Samay back into the spotlight – this time, on a chessboard with Bollywood royalty.
