The movie was an adaptation of the famous Hollywood movie Forrest Gump that starred Tom Hanks. Naturally, many fans compared the two movies, and that didn’t end up doing many favours for Aamir Khan or the makers of Laal Singh Chaddha. While the Hindi film failed to get movie goers to theatres, it’s release on Netflix still managed to create a good response. Following that Aamir Khan took a mini sabbatical and hasn’t been seen since on the silver screen. In fact, no movie of his will release this year. This at a time, when Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in three huge movies, one of which, Pathaan, has already broken numerous records.
Many Aamir Khan fans have been left scratching their heads as to when they will see their favourite movie star again. Well, fret not!
We have a huge update for Aamir Khan fans and all others. According to film trade insider Taran Adarsh, Aamir Khan has booked the Christmas 2024 date for his next, yet-to-be-named, project.
As per Taran Adarsh, the movie is still in the pre-production phase.
“AAMIR KHAN LOCKS CHRISTMAS 2024 FOR NEXT FILM… Aamir Khan Productions’ Prod No. 16 [not titled yet], starring #AamirKhan in the lead role, to release on 20 Dec 2024 #Christmas2024. Pre-production of the film is ongoing and the film goes on floors on 20 Jan 2024… More details to follow soon,” wrote Taran Adarsh on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

If some media reports are to be believed then, Aamir Khan’s new project will see him reunite with Rajkumar Santoshi after a gap of 30 years. The duo had collaborated for the cult classic Andaz Apna Apna, also starring Salman Khan, which had released in 1994.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, “Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi have been discussing a subject for a while now and things have finally fallen into place. Aamir has loved what’s developed by Santoshi and has been sitting with him to work on all the aspects over the last few months,” revealed a source close to the development, adding further that the film is presently in the pre-production stage and will go on floors in January 2024.
“Aamir and Rajkumar Santoshi are all set to bring their entertainer during the Christmas 2024 weekend. The prep work is going on in full swing and the film is all ready to roll out in January.”
