Aamir Khan recently visited a Mumbai theatre that was screening 'Sitaare Zameen Par'.

Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan is basking in the praise for his latest release 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film has struck a chord with audiences and critics alike, earning praise for its heartfelt storytelling. Once again, Aamir Khan proved his knack for delivering strong, content-driven cinema. Adding to the excitement, the superstar recently surprised fans with an unannounced visit to a Mumbai theatre during a screening of the film. A video capturing the candid moment was later shared on the official YouTube channel of Aamir Khan Talkies.

As soon as he entered the theatre, moviegoers started cheering and clapping. Aamir Khan was accompanied by several cast members from his film. Addressing the audience, the Bollywood megastar said, “Thank you so much for the love you are giving us. We really appreciate and we are really touched.”

“The Sitaare are the heart and soul of the film,” he added.

Some of the actors from the cast also briefly spoke with the audience. Before leaving, Aamir Khan once again thanked the audience for showering love on the film.

For the unversed, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ stars 10 new actors – Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. The film also stars Genelia Deshmukh.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ earned Rs 8.50 crore on Monday, the fourth day of its release. The film witnessed a drop of more than 65 per cent from its Sunday collections.

The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 66.65 crore. Worldwide, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ has gone past the Rs 100 crore mark. In India, the new Hindi film has gone past the lifetime collection of Aamir's last project ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in just four days.

A spiritual sequel to the beloved 2007 film ‘Taare Zameen Par’, the new movie flips the narrative. Aamir plays Gulshan, a disgraced basketball coach assigned to train a group of neurodivergent individuals – a stark contrast to his compassionate teacher role in the original.
