Aamir Khan To Produce Son Junaid Khan's Movie Which Is Remake Of This Popular Thai Drama: Report
As per a report, actor Aamir Khan is planning to launch his son Junaid Khan in what will reportedly be a remake of a popular Thai movie.
Aamir Khan is one of the most popular actors of Bollywood, but his recent few projects like 'Laal Singh Chaddha' have not done well at the box office. Currently, the actor has taken a break from acting but in the latest entertainment news, it has emerged that Aamir Khan will be producing his son Junaid Khan's upcoming movie. For the uninitiated, Junaid Khan is set to make his acting debut with YRF's historical drama 'Maharaj'. Aamir Khan's production will be a remake of a popular foreign movie, reported Pinkvilla.
"The Aamir Khan and Junaid Khan film is the remake of a Thai film called One Day. Aamir loved this 2016 Thai romance drama and acquired the official remake rights last year. Sunil Pandey, who has been associated with Aamir for many years and is also directing this film, has beautifully adapted the Thai film to the Indian context. Junaid will play the lead role, while they are yet to zero in on the female lead opposite him," Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying.
'One Day' was a massive critical and commercial success as it won two Thailand National Film Association Awards in 2017.
The movie was directed by Banjong Pisanthanakun and and it starred Chantavit Dhanasevi and Nittha Jirayungyurn in the lead roles.
The film told the story of a man who ends up risking everything to be with his crush for just one day by pretending to be her boyfriend after she suffers temporary memory loss in an accident.
If all goes as per plan, Junaid will be stepping into Banjong's shoes and he will be playing an IT guy who is in love with his colleague but lacks the courage to express his feelings.
Talking about Aamir Khan, the actor was last seen in 'Laal Singh Chaddha' alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. The movie received mixed response from the critics, but the audiences rejected it completely.
