Aamir Khan has unveiled the first poster and release date of his much-awaited comeback film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’.
Aamir Khan has officially unveiled the first look poster of his upcoming film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, which is being positioned as a spiritual successor to his 2007 masterpiece ‘Taare Zameen Par’. Slated for a theatrical release on June 20, the new poster hints at a basketball-themed storyline, with Aamir possibly stepping into the role of a coach – echoing the guiding, mentor-like role he played in the original as an art teacher. The lively poster featured Aamir sitting on a chair, resting his arm on a basketball, surrounded by a group of mischievous young individuals striking goofy poses.
The poster also included visuals of stars, a running track, and a basketball net, aligning with the film’s sporty, vibrant tone. The film carries the tagline “Sabka Apna Apna Normal”, underlining its core message about celebrating individuality and differences.

Joining Aamir Khan in the frame are 10 fresh faces: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
The poster launch created an instant buzz on social media, with fans celebrating Aamir Khan’s comeback and the nostalgic connection to ‘Taare Zameen Par’.

For the unversed, Aamir Khan is returning to the big screen with this film after his 2022 release ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. This time, he will be sharing screen space with Genelia Deshmukh.
In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Aamir Khan described ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ as a “beautiful story”. He explained that while ‘Taare Zameen Par’ was deeply emotional, this sequel aims to entertain. Despite the tonal shift, he emphasized that the core theme – highlighting individuals with unique abilities and challenges – remains intact.
The film is directed by R.S. Prasanna, known for ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ and the biopic ‘On A Quest’. The screenplay has been penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. It is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit.
Recently, the trailer of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ was screened for the CBFC and has received a UA certificate. With laughter, heart, and a fresh cast at its core, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is gearing up to be one of the year’s most anticipated releases.
