Ajay Devgn is all set to reprise his role as an income tax officer in the upcoming Hindi film 'Raid 2'. The trailer for the Bollywood flick was unveiled on Tuesday. 'Raid 2' also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor and fans cannot wait to see Ajay Devgn playing the role of the fearless officer Amay Patnaik. Keeping the plot of the film in mind, a journalist asked a question to Ajay Devgn during the trailer launch event.
The journalist quizzed the actor on what he would do if there was a raid at the houses of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. The question took Ajay Devgn by surprise. But his quick response left everyone in splits.
“I play an officer in the film. I'm not going to their houses for real. So I don't really know what I need to manage. If ever there's a raid at their houses, I'll be sitting at my house, and vice-versa. So I can't really manage anything,” Ajay Devgn said.

Speaking about the trailer of ‘Raid 2’, Ajay Devgn can be seen playing the role of Amay Patnaik, an honest IRS officer who doesn't think twice before taking down the rich and powerful.
The trailer opens with Ajay Devgn's character getting ready for his 75th raid. He makes it his mission to take down a corrupt politician, Dada Manohar Bhai played by Riteish Deshmukh. At one point in the trailer, Ajay challenges Riteish saying, “Main toh poori Mahabharat hu.”
The trailer also shows Vaani Kapoor as Ajay Devgn’s love interest. Saurabh Shukla has also reprised his role after 'Raid' in 2018. The trailer also gives a glimpse of Tamannaah Bhatia’s dance number in the movie.

'Raid 2' has been directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, while it has been bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. The film will hit the theatres on May 1, 2025.
'Raid 2' is a sequel to the 2018 hit film 'Raid'. The original film was set in 1981 and told the story of an income tax officer in Lucknow who takes down the powerful, corrupt politicians.
